Japanese toy company MEDICOM TOY has unveiled another release for its new retro American comic-inspired soft vinyl line, SUPER MANGA POWERS. Joining “Batman” is a new figure based on DC’s hit comic series “Absolute Batman”—Bane. Priced at 27,500 yen, preorders are open now through October 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. JST, with the figure scheduled for release in March 2027.
“Absolute Batman” reimagines Bane as a terrifying bioengineered weapon with a body far larger than any previous incarnation. Venom has been fully integrated into his biological tissue, allowing continuous technological upgrades to dynamically enhance his power. Even more dangerous, he retains his elite tactical intelligence, making him an overwhelmingly intimidating opponent who can attack Batman both physically and psychologically.
The SUPER MANGA POWERS Bane stands approximately 11.8 inches (30 cm) tall, capturing the villain’s massive physique in soft vinyl. The sculpt was once again handled by HaRu, the sculptor behind MEDICOM ASM’s soft vinyl figures. Bane’s hulking musculature has been packed into the line’s compact, stylized proportions, while details such as the folds in his combat gear and the bulging veins across his arms have been carefully recreated. The real showstoppers, however, are the five Venom tubes running from his arms and the back of his head to his massive back. Their fluorescent green color makes them instantly pop, while matching paint applications across his arms and belt push Bane’s imposing presence to another level. Naturally, this monster belongs on the shelf alongside Batman!
