Japanese toy maker MEDICOM TOY is bringing DC’s hit "Absolute Batman" comic to its new retro American comics-inspired SUPER MANGA POWERS Soft Vinyl line. The upcoming Batman Soft Vinyl Figure is priced at 24,200 yen, with preorders open now through October 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Japan time. The figure is scheduled for release in March 2027.
Launched in October 2024, "Absolute Batman" is part of the Absolute Universe introduced through DC’s DC All In publishing initiative following the events of "Absolute Power." Set in an alternate universe, the series reimagines Bruce Wayne as a working-class hero without a billionaire fortune. Raised in a blue-collar neighborhood, he becomes Batman after the death of his father.
The SUPER MANGA POWERS Absolute Batman stands approximately 29.5 cm tall and was sculpted by HaRu, known for work on MEDICOM TOY’s ASM Soft Vinyl line. Its exaggerated proportions capture the character’s extraordinarily massive physique, while his signature black cape is made from flexible plastic sheeting. Costume details are sharply reproduced throughout, including the axe-shaped bat emblem across his chest, spikes on the shoulder armor, and straps wrapped around his arms. The figure appears to feature a matte paint finish, with deeper shading used to create stronger contrast and definition. A red gradient across the soles adds another striking splash of color. Collectors can also display him alongside the simultaneously revealed Bane figure to recreate their brutal showdown.
